When an agent represents a buyer they are usually paid by the seller. So basically you're getting representation for you and your family at the expense of the seller. Many agents aren't very experienced or familiar with specific area. It's a great resource for you to have an experienced agent on your side but how do you know their experience level? Ask lot's of questions and find out if they have a team and if they are negotiation experts:
